Using Stylebot on Google Docs™

Style Guide Checker

  • Find style guide entries in your document by clicking on “Style Guide Checker” in the menu.
  • The Style Guide Checker highlights words or phrases in your document in red or yellow and pulls up associated style guide entries in the sidebar.
  • A red highlight means there’s probably something wrong; yellow means it’s worth double-checking.
  • Compare your text to the style guidance.
  • Click the red button allows you to find and replace words or phrases within your text.
  • Clicking the “X” will delete the style guide entry from the list.
  • Note: You can use Stylebot to look up questions not covered by the Style Guide Checker, such as numbers and punctuation.
